Reason #3 for hanging on to stuff…
It’s sentimental
“I’m not advocating that you get rid of everything sentimental, but this can easily get out of hand. Remember, the most important part of life is the time spent with family and friends. Save the memories, not the stuff. Seek creative ways to save memorabilia. Many items can now be scanned. You can also turn baby clothes, sports jerseys, or other clothing into a quilt.”
QUESTION
I’ve just started “rightsizing” my collection of books. I offered a few individually, but this seems like a disaster to manage.
So, who has successfully gifted fairly large numbers of books? And how did you do it? Did you bundle them up by topic and offer a boxful or a bagful? Just take them to the local Ottawa Public Library Branch? Or what?
Looking for suggestions to make this process quicker and less painful.
