Project ReStyle

OK so I have to confess I am an Etsy addict. No kidding! I LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at really cool stuff that has been made from old things. That to me is a great way to recycle something. Some people call it “upcycling” but I find that term is used too loosely. In any case I have been a bad girl today and spent all my time on the internet looking at crafty crafts and other assorted delights. I came across Project Restyle by way of my friend’s blog and I thought, THIS IS SO AWESOME! See what you can do with an old stained dress? Or an ugly old shelf? Or banister spindles?? MY FRIENDS THE SKY HAS NO LIMIT. So without further ado press here for the link!

from the blog. what a great idea!

I know this isn’t an Etsy shop but she has tonnes of links to some!

What To Do With Old Doilies

Do you have a bunch of old doilies laying around the house and you don’t know what to do with them? If you are like me, you probably love the look of them but don’t want to do anything with them that would look too marmy (which can be a good look in it’s own right!) Kim over at Desire To Inspire (who is from our good city of Ottawa) posted a REALLY GOOD IDEA on her page. She took a bunch of old doilies, dyed them (an easy and inexpensive process) and sewed them together into a table runner. Not only does it look amazing, it is a great way to use doilies that are languishing in drawers.

Thanks so much Kim, you have some really great ideas going on! So next time you see some doilies offered up on FullCircles you can be confident that you could give them a new home!

Thanks Kim from Desire To Inspire. You inspired me!
